Standards & Compliance
We hold ourselves to the highest professional standards. Below you'll find our current credentials and the industry accreditations we are actively working towards as part of our commitment to excellence.
Every member of our security team holds a current Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. This is a legal requirement for all door supervisors, security guards, and CCTV operators in the UK — and we take it seriously. Our staff are trained, vetted, and licensed to the highest standard.
Southpaw Security Solutions carries comprehensive public liability and employer's liability insurance. Our clients can have complete confidence that they are protected in the unlikely event of any incident on site.
All Southpaw security operatives undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks prior to deployment. We only employ individuals who meet our rigorous standards of conduct and integrity.
We are committed to continuous improvement and are actively pursuing the following accreditations. These represent the gold standard in the UK security and contractor industry.
The Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) is the SIA's quality assurance framework for private security companies operating in the UK. Achieving ACS status demonstrates that a company meets rigorous standards across management, training, service delivery, and continuous improvement. We are actively working through the assessment process and are committed to achieving ACS approval — putting us among the most trusted, regulated security providers in the country.
Why This Matters
Safe Contractor is one of the UK's leading health and safety accreditation schemes, managed by Alcumus. It is widely recognised across industries and required by many major organisations before engaging contractors. We are working towards Safe Contractor accreditation to formally demonstrate our health and safety standards and give our clients further assurance of our professional approach.
Why This Matters
CHAS is one of the original UK contractor health and safety pre-qualification schemes and remains one of the most widely accepted. Achieving CHAS certification confirms that a contractor's health and safety practices meet the standards required by clients in both the public and private sectors. We are currently progressing through the CHAS assessment process as part of our commitment to providing a safe, professional, and accountable service.
Why This Matters
Accreditations are not just badges — they represent our promise to operate with integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Every accreditation we pursue reflects our dedication to delivering a service that clients can trust, rely on, and be proud of.
